CeBIT 2012 Will Host OCZ's Vertex 4 SSD Launch | Technology News

Like Buffalo and Plextor, OCZ is getting ready to unleash some solid state drives, but its products are aimed at enterprise customers instead of consumers.

With CeBIT set to take place in Hannover, Germany, between March 6 and 10, OCZ is getting ready to show its stuff.

The Vertex 4 SSD line is part of what the company will let visitors feast their eyes upon.

Based on the Indilinx Everest 2 platform, the solid state drives communicate via the SATA 6.0 Gbps interface.

Enterprise systems, like servers and data centers, are the applications meant for them.

Unfortunately, but not unexpectedly, the company held off on providing any further details. We'll just have to wait for this week to pass before we can tell you more.

Hopefully, the Vertex 4 will at least be cheaper than previous enterprise NAND Flash storage devices.
